Week 33

32 w 4 d here, but close enough!

7 more weeks???? EEK!!!! We are close to having everything ready for the little guy (maybe including a name!!!). Put together the stroller this weekend and I'm SO ready to use it. Got all the clothes organized so far and should start doing some laundry soon for all the blankets and such. We had a 3D sonogram 2 weeks ago and got to see the little guy. He's measuring a week and a half ahead which either means he'll come early or he'll be a BIG baby. I'm guessing the latter since we have big babies on both sides of the family.

Here's a sneak peak at the little guy :)

How far along? 33 w 1 d

Total weight gain/loss: Soooooo, I was wrong. I thought I started out weighing one number and have been using that to track my weight gain thus far. Well at my 31 week appointment I found out I had only gained 21 lbs at that point! So today, my official weight gain is 23 lbs. YEAH!

Sleep:  Pretty much status quo for this time. Baby Barber likes to have a small dance party when I finally settle down for bed so I have to wait 5-10 minutes to be fully comfortable. Wake up a few times throughout the night but for the most part I sleep really well.

Best moment this week:  Hearing his heartbeat at the Drs office.

Movement:  If I'm laying down on my back on the couch I can really feel him moving (and punch my bladder). To still this I lay on my side and problem solved.

Symptoms:  How about a giant belly and a baby moving around inside. :)

Food cravings:  Salsa. Mexican Food. Doritos. (but let's be honest, I loved those before as well!)

Food aversions:  Vegetables.... which is really bad for someone who is trying to eat healthy! (still the same)

Gender:  Boy.

Labor Signs:  I've been having braxton hicks since around 22 weeks. More so when I haven't drank enough water throughout the day. (still the same)

Belly Button in or out?  Still in, but it's starting to hollow out some. No doubt that as it gets bigger it will disappear altogether. (still the same)

What I miss:  Warmth. Shivering isn't very fun when your abs aren't really there anymore.

What I am looking forward to: Prenatal massage tonight!

Catching up

It's been a looooong time since I've updated this blog but I figured it was about time..... you know, with the addition to the family coming soon! I am one day away from being 28 weeks so I'm just going to go ahead and say I'm in my 3rd trimester because I can! The photo below was taken earlier in the week. I took it to compare to the 2nd photo, which was me at 9 weeks.

Total weight gain/loss:  Last time I visited the Dr I was around 23 lbs. Apparently I gain a lot in the second set of 4-5 weeks of my trimesters and then taper off towards the end. I'm trying to focus more on eating well and continuing going to the gym to help me during delivery and post-partum. After all, weight is just a number, right? ;)

Sleep:  Starting to become uncomfortable lying on my side. I have to switch pretty frequently from one side to the other and am constantly waking myself up while lying on my back.

Best moment this week:  How active he has been after eating Halloween candy. ;)

Movement:  Some days more than others.

Symptoms:  Nothing big. Just the typical constant peeing, hormonal break outs, and at times, extreme hunger.

Food cravings:  Grilled Cheese sandwiches.

Food aversions:  Vegetables.... which is really bad for someone who is trying to eat healthy!

Gender:  Boy. Confirmed both my sonogram and a blood test. ;)

Labor Signs:  I've been having braxton hicks since around 22 weeks. More so when I haven't drank enough water throughout the day.

Belly Button in or out?  Still in, but it's starting to hollow out some. No doubt that as it gets bigger it will disappear altogether.

What I miss:  Since it's gotten cold outside, I miss Skinny Cafe Mochas from Starbucks. I decided to not drink caffeine during my pregnancy (just a personal decision, I know it's safe to drink it and if I'm being honest I actually gave it up about a month before becoming pregnant). I also miss wine. A lot.

What I am looking forward to: Baby showers! I love celebrating this time of our life with other people and Chase & I feel really blessed that there are so many who already love our little guy.
